T&T’s official export facilitation organisation, exporTT and the Voice of Services locally, Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries (TTCSI), made formal their commitment to advance the ‘Services’ agenda locally and internationally. The two entities signed a historic Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at TTCSI’s Office on Thursday 15th November, 2018. TTCSI’s President, Lara Quentrall-Thomas’ and exporTT’s Chairman, Ashmeer Mohamed’s signatures on the agreement accompanied by the witnessing seals of exporTT’s CEO, Dietrich Guichard and TTCSI’s General Manager, Vashti Guyadeen gave life and momentum to the arrangement. This Agreement is the first of its kind and aims to strengthen collaboration between both parties.
How will this close working relationship benefit the Services sectors? The Services Sectors can expect and anticipate the rollout and delivery of activities geared toward the development and advancement of trade and export readiness. Additionally, focus and attention will be placed on research, training, trade fair participation, exhibiting skills, trade mission opportunities, B2B meetings and much more! The MOA has clearly defined deliverables and includes robust training programmes namely the “Services Go Global” programme to enhance the export capacity of services providers in key sectors such as the creative industries, tourism services, professional services and education services. exporTT and TTCSI have indicated that their MOA will be robust in its application and will entail significant collaboration, sharing and cooperation between both agencies.
