exporTT Limited, jointly launched its Export Competitiveness Project, powered by Caribbean Development Agency’s SME Diagnostic Tool at Export House today, Tuesday 6th February, 2018.
In her welcome remarks, exporTT’s Director Renuka Sagramsingh–Sooklal highlighted that “exporTT is the first Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) in the region to adopt the SME Diagnostic Tool as the foundation for an export competitiveness programme.”
Speaking at the launch this morning, Mrs. Pamela Coke-Hamilton (Executive Director Caribbean Export Development Agency) stressed “The development of CARIFORUM firms into world class companies with globally competitive brands requires that both TPOs and BSOs provide support programmes that target specific firm needs and yield impactful results”.
Through the identification of gaps powered by Caribbean Export’s tool which is financed by the European Union, exporTT will actively build export development plans for the first cohort of 30 companies and implement a program of activities aimed at bridging gaps and/or building competitiveness. CEO Dietrich Guichard said the result of collaboration will “make the good companies we have even better…. and the best, unstoppable!”
Also, among the speakers at the event were His Excellency Ambassador Aad Biesebroek, Head of EU Delegation, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Mr. Norris Herbert and Mr. Damie Sinanan – Senior Advisor Competitiveness and Export Promotion Caribbean Export.
